Referring to a woman's poker team as the Queen of Hearts is about as predictable as naming a Dalmatian "Spot". That little rant about predictability in ladies poker aside, the Queen of Hearts team will be returning with a star studded line-up to play for the benefit of the Nevada Cancer Institute. The Queens are one of the most high profile groups associated with poker philanthropy. The World Series of Poker will be hosting this DeLeon Family Care Project Limited sponsored team during the WSOP Ladies event. Not only do the hearts bring a good cause to the table but they bring some of the biggest names from the world's of entertainment and poker as well. This year co-captains Lisa Tenner and actress Mimi Rogers will field a team that includes Teri Hatcher, Camryn Manheim, Joely Fisher, Cheryl Hines, and Mindy McCready. Among the professionals who will be participating are Shawnee Barton, defending 2007 WSOP Ladies Event champ Sally Anne Boyer, two-time Ladies Event winner Barbara Enright, Maureen Feduniak, Clonie Gowen, Linda Johnson, 2006 WSOP Ladies champ Mary Jones, and Pamela Brunson. This is the sort of team that not only gets attention but could probably equal anything the guys could put together. That would be an interesting match: get a star studded male team, and see which gender comes out on top.
