Playing at the WSOP Doesn't Have to Be a Once in a Lifetime Opportunity

How many times have you heard about people who have played poker all their life while dreaming of the main event of the World Series of Poker? Finally they get a chance to go, either saving pennies until they have the requisite ten grand, or cutting deals with backers, or more commonly these days, winning a seat via an online poker room or land-based satellite. They scrape and save and make it to Las Vegas, dealing with the heat and the food and the hotels they can afford, all to sit down in the poker room and partake in the worlds biggest poker game. Then they bust out in two hours and the dream is done. Their once in a lifetime opportunity is over. Now what?  It would stink if a once in a lifetime chance came and went and there was nothing to show for it, but the great news is that the WSOP does not have to be a once in a lifetime thing. There are plenty of reasons this is so, from the amazing number of events held every year to the proliferation of seats being given away to the relatively new WSOP Circuit events.  More and more events are being added to the WSOP every year, and many of them dip down into something more affordable for the average player. Say, you can only pull together a few thousand dollars this year - does that mean you cant play the WSOP? Hardly. With $500 and $1000 events, you can pick one event and go for it, using your extra cash for hotel, food, and even playing in a few satellite events where you might win your way into yet another events. The point is, dont give up if you cant make it to the Main Event - there are plenty of other ways you can participate in the WSOP year after year.
