The General beat out over five hundred players to claim his $315,125 prize, and with 740 players joining in the fun this year, someone was going to walk away with quite a bit more. The hundreds of players churned away on day one until only three dozen were left, ready to do battle again the next day. At the end of day two, only six remained, with pros like Corey Chesnerick and Phil Gordon out of the running, but in the money.Final table included William Chen - $175,000, Alex Diesel Bolotin - $280,000, Charidimos Demetriou - $378,000, M Guttmann - $587,000, Nath Pizzolatto - $102,000, and Dan Hicks -$321,000.  Guttamann's cheap lead over his closest threat, Demetriou, was something like three to one at the start of the event, and short stacks William Chen and Nath Pizzolatto would have to work hard to avoid a quick elimination when the game got underway. In a little over four hours it was all over. In that short time over one million dollars were divided up between these six men, who had battle through many more just to arrive at this spot.  In an increadble feat, the winner of this event became William Chen, who had also one event seven earlier in this season. A final hand of a straight was made for both players, but Chen had the nut straight for the win.
