Without the blustering calls of "all in", which can sometimes drop poker players like flies, a limit game can sometimes drag on. Yet somehow, at the final table of the $1,500 Limit Hold 'em event at the 2006 WSOP, the players made it seem like a race. Within about thirty minutes of dealing out the first hand of the final table Matt Welsby was out, taking his thirty plus grand with him. Lars Hansen lasted two hours longer before busting out in eighth place.  Nearly sixty minutes later it was Patrick Maloney to the rail, and then things sped up again. Thirty minutes later and Hank Sparks was out, then hardly ten minutes later and TWO players busted out, one right after the other, first Vipul Kothari and then Michele Lewis. The table began to grind and battle in earnest, and two and a half hours went by before the next player took his leave, Josh Schlein in third after his pair of kings was crushed by Kianoush's set of deuces.  Over the next hour and a half, barring a fifteen minute break, the two remaining players battled back and forth, and in the end it was Kianoush Abolfathi with a pair of tens who claimed the victory, just before 10pm.
