Poker Pros to Teach the Secrets of a WSOP Final Table

WSOP Final Table

Is there truly some sort of deep dark secret that will get poker players to the final table of the WSOP Main Event? Or is more like the poker tournament equivalent of finding the entrance to Narnia? I think history has borne out the fact that there is a combination of factors that gets poker players from point A (Day 1 of the poker tournament) to point B (The final table). To get the opportunity to participate in something as rare and exclusive as the WSOP November Nine, poker pros generally need competency, skill, and some really wild luck. If the player can take care of the first two, the bit about luck will take care of itself one way or another; often not to the poker pros advantage. Without competency and skill though, there is not even a prayer of a hope that a player can make it that far. Those looking to learn the skills that are necessary to make it to a World Series of Poker final table will have their opportunity in a few weeks. The WSOP will be presenting a special November Nine version of its poker academy.

Caesar’s Palace will host this special poker academy from November 6th to the 8th. The instructors will be some of the most experienced final table players on the planet. Mark Seif, Greg Raymer and Phil Hellmuth will be handling the teaching duties. While I am not certain what it would take to choke a wildebeest, I am sure between the three of them they have enough bracelets to get the job done. In other words, these are some pretty experienced teachers who know what it takes to have WSOP success.

They will be teaching players the skills necessary to be a competent, skillful poker pro. There will be hand analysis (in this case we mean poker hands, not the type where somebody charges you $40 to tell you your love line leaves something to be desired), live demonstrations, lots of time at the tables, and a tournament where the winner will be given a WSOP Academy 2010 Tournament of Champions prize package that is valued at $4,000. Those participating in this academy will also have VIP access to the WSOP Main Event final table.
