2007 WSOP Event 53 - Limit Holdem Shootout $1,500

  Most people are not familiar with the sport of wrestling. Sure, they have watched guys in capes jumping off ladders and occasionally setting each other on fire in the middle of a WWE ring, but that's not wrestling: that's theater. Real wrestling is infinitely more boring and requires a huge degree of skill. Athletes who compete in this sport are awarded points when an opponent has applied some sort of death grip, and they manage to turn the situation around on them. Ram Vaswani probably can't fill out a pair of collegiate wrestling tights in quite the same manner as Kurt Angle or Brock Lesner, but he did manage to pull a reverse out of his backside and score a victory.  There were three people left to compete for the Event 53 bracelet: Ram Vaswani, Andrew Ward, and Anh Van Nguyen. Well, in reality there were only two competing - Anh Van Nguyen was basically nothing more than debris in the final stages of the championship.  Ram was working with a stack that was only half the size of Andrew Ward's stack of plastic disks. This is the sort of situation where a lot of players would simply order a drink, pinch the waitress, go all in, and accept the second place check. Vaswani had grander plans than alcohol and mild sexual harassment. He spent the better part of the heads-up match taking Ward apart like he was a Mr.Potato head.  Once Vaswani got the chip lead, he didn't let his opponent linger, he simply drove the stake in the heart of his opponent. On the last hand the flop came out all hearts, one of them the Ace. Ram had the King of Hearts giving him four towards a flush, with no danger from any heart that may be in Andrew's hand. Vaswani slow played, letting Ward be the aggressor.  When the turn brought another heart to the board, Ram put his foot on the gas and bet 120,000. Andrew was committed to the pot at this point and went all in with a pair of Aces.
