2007 WSOP Event 35 - No Limit Holdem $1,500

There is a cliche that talks about what happens when a bull takes a care free little stroll through a china shop. We can't remember the last time somebody took a large, angry, male cow on a field trip to Tiffany's but the results would be predictable. To be fair, when this situation comes to mind we only consider the event from the perspective of the china. For the fragile ceramic pieces this would be one of those "the horror, the horror" moments that are reminiscent of Hindenburg disaster. Of course looked at the bull's point of view, this would be one of the most interesting days of its pointless bovine life.  The last day of Event 35 resembled the sort of carnage that would happen if a bull decided to do a little impromptu QC on the durability of fine china. It started off with Ryan Young holding a chip lead over everyone, and ended with everyone watching Ryan Young accepting the championship bracelet.  We all could have saved a lot of time and trouble if they just saw the way the wind was blowing soon after play began on day 3 of the tournament. The bracelet could have simply been awarded to Ryan, who was going through the rest of the players in much the same manner that King Kong went through some stone age islanders who still thought coconut bras were fashionable.  Dustin Dirksen was the last person standing out of the gong show of competitors that were in the wrong place at the wrong time when Ryan managed to capture lightning in a bottle. At hand 132 of the final table, Young had almost a six to one chip advantage over Dustin. By hand 137 it was all over and Ryan Young had won his first World Series of Poker bracelet. Let's see if he can keep the lighting in the bottle for his next tournament.PlacePlayerPrize1Ryan Young$615,9552Dustin Dirksen$381,3813Nam Le$239,2304John Esposito$156,0205Michael Trimby$109,2146Paul Cheung$79,7437Raj Jain$62,4088Darren Glenn$46,8069Joe Holmes$36,751
