One can hardly turn on a Fox News or CNN health segment without somebody in a white lab coat (who thinks dressing their customers in gowns without a backside is funny) lecturing us on the things that will make us healthier. Usually they group all the things we love in the category of stuff that is really really bad for us. Alcohol, chocolate, sex, video games, Courtney Love, etc; all these thing we are told will lead to bad health, disease, short attention spans, and maybe crabs. The one pleasure they have left us is sleep. A nice rest, perhaps a power nap, makes us more dynamic, alert, and able to take on the stress of the world. Anybody who would like to argue the point that they work better on less sleep can just look to Dan "Rekrul" Schreiber and his win at Event 30 of the World Series of Poker, and put that silly assertion to rest. Dan Schreiber was the first player to make it to the final four of the Heads Up tournament. Not only did he get some downtime to let the stress of the previous confrontations melt off of him, but he was given the opportunity to rest and watch what his opponents were doing without the dagger of elimination hanging over his head. He waded through his opponents and wound up in the final pairing against Mark Muchnik (who was the second player to qualify for the final four spots). These two played in a series format where the winner would be the guy who could top his opponent two out of three times. Dan dominated mark during the final competition. "Rekrul" beat Muchnik 2-0 during this heads up championship and took the bracelet that comes with it. Apparently a little extra rest goes a long way (skill doesn't hurt either).1Dan Schreiber$425,5942Mark Muchnik$230,3003Keith Block$128,9684Vanessa Selbst$128,9685Steve Sarrafzadeh$46,0606Jared Davis$46,0607Shannon Shorr$46,0608Toto Leonidas$46,0609Paul Wasicka$23,030
