James "Mason" Richburg has been arguably one of the more successful people to compete in the World Series of Poker. Most players would probably trade some bone marrow, a redundant kidney, or a few years of their life expectancy for the ability to legitimately decorate their wrist with a WSOP bracelet. Not only has Richburg won this trophy once, but he has a WSOP bracelet for each wrist. This is no easy feat. To win one bracelet, skill and luck must line up perfectly for a particular person for one moment in time. To win a pair of these wrist ornaments is like standing in the one place and inviting two bolts of lightning to smack you in the head. Richburg attained his second bracelet by beating 382 players including Walter Browne, his heads up opponent, in a $2,500 H.O.R.S.E. competition. Even though Browne was chasing Richburg for the entirety of the final hand, the outcome was in doubt until sixth street when James completed a 6-4-3-2-A and claimed the championship as his own. Anyone who has followed the sport knows that James Richburg is not only a very good player, but is also a rather versatile one. Most players today define themselves by how well they play Holdem, Omaha, and to a lesser degree, 7-Card Stud. Richburg has taken both his bracelets in games that are on the periphery of the mainstream. This year he won playing H.O.R.S.E.; his first bracelet came when he won a WSOP Razz tournament. Very few players today seem to specialize in styles of poker with funny names. This seems to be a comfort zone with Mr. Richburg though. All joking aside, James Richburg is obviously a world class player who is a threat to win any tournament he decides to enter. We congratulate him on his second bracelet.PlacePlayerPrize1James Richburg$238,8812Walter Browne$131,4453Chris Bjorin$83,2494Tom Schneider$54,7695Ali Eslami$42,5016Robert Mizrachi$31,9857Herb Van Dyke$24,5368Harry Kazazian$17,9649Alexandra Vuong$12,181
