Three WSOP Circuit Wins for Ferguson

Three WSOP Circuit Wins for Ferguson

There are a lot of things that are consistent about the character of Chris "Jesus" Ferguson. He wears black, most noticeably his large black cowboy hat, his sunglasses, he always tents his hands in front of his face before making a decision, and he has long hair and a beard. Oh, and he wins, a lot. It may not seem like it with the flood of events in recent years and all the newcomers winning, but looking over his career you can see the consistency here as well. With a victory on November 18 at the Harvey's Lake Tahoe World Series of Poker championship, his winning record continues with his third WSOP Circuit score.

During the WSOP a win means a gold bracelet for the player, a bauble that is highly regarded as the most valuable piece of jewelry they could ever have. Chris has five of those, and now he has three of the gold rings given out for a win at a circuit event.

The 44 year old poker tourney pro played his normal excellent poker that, when coupled with a good run of cards, practically guarantees a victory. In the end he went heads up with 25 year old Dustin Fox. The heads up match lasted exactly one hand when his set of tens killed Fox's pair of aces.

This was a dramatic end to the fourth straight year the World Series of Poker Circuit has made a stop at Harvey's Lake Tahoe, and likely ensures that the WSOP will be back again next year.
