2005/2006 WSOP Circuit Event #2HarrahsLas Vegas, NV.September 5-18, 2005  The 2nd WSOP Circuit Event of the 2005/2006 season was held at Harrahs in Las Vegas September 16-18th, 2005. Since the final table was not televised, only 107 players entered the tournament. Too bad there were no cameras rolling though, because when the dust finally settled, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson beat out a hard-hitting final table to win $362,000 and a gold ring. This was the second WSOP Circuit Event win for Ferguson, which is impressive once you take into consideration there had only been seven of the events since their creation earlier in 2005. Fergusons previous win had been in San Diego in February 2005, where he beat phenom Prahlad Friedman heads-up for the ring. Ferguson also made the final table and finished 8th in the inaugural Circuit Event in Atlantic City in January 2005.  Vegas professional Chad Layne lost to Ferguson in heads-up play but won $201,000 for a fine 2nd place showing. The rest of the final table included Kevin Song of Roland Heights, CA, who came in 3rd place with $110,638; Tom Pniak of Las Vegas, who came in 4th with $80,464; An Tran of Las Vegas who came in 5th with $70,406; Greg Fund of Virginia Beach, VA, who cam in 6th with $60,348; Mike Fetter of Vallejo, CA came in 7th with $50,290; Thomas Foley of SW Ranches, Florida came in 8th with $40,232, while Jim McCrink of Las Vegas came in 9th with $30,174.
