Tara Rice: A Living Doll

Tara Rice

Tara Rice showed up on the radars of millions of men when she did a 2005 pictorial for Maxim. While seeing a blonde model in a bikini or lingerie is about as common as seeing a beer commercial during a sporting event, Tara’s pictorial took most men back to the days of adolescent innocence; when we were just discovering that girls were different then boys in some rather wonderful ways. Her sheer physical perfection caught the eyes of the folks who created the feminine ideal when they launched the Barbie doll, and Mattel hired Rice to be the model for the updated version of this classic doll. Long before she took the sort of photos that could send any man back through puberty again or was immortalized in as plastic figure, she was recognized as a one of the most beautiful girls in the world by winning the 2000 Ms. Teen California contest.

Being declared the most beautiful teen girl in the state of California means so much more than simply winning the hearts and minds of pedophiles everywhere; it is a launching pad to stardom. She has appeared in a number of music videos, films, and on television. While keeping her body fit with snowboarding, pilates, kickboxing, and dancing, she has taken to keeping her mind on a keen edge as well by playing poker.

In 2005 Tara competed in the Legends of Poker Ladies’ No-Limit Hold’em Tournament, at the Bicycle Casino. She gave a good account of herself by finishing in 35th place. This is not a bad start for somebody who was relatively new to the game. She continues to hone her skills by competing in small tournaments and playing in cash games. Tara also began an association with Bombshell poker as one of their team members. Those who decide to surf over to that site and test their skill against Ms. Rice may be surprised by the fact that she is no lightweight. It will be interesting to see how she fares if she ever decides to compete at the World Series of Poker or World Poker Tour.
