Sometimes nature and the world of poker are in some sort of bizarre sync. For example, if you happen to be strolling along in the African grasslands, and a black mamba slithers across your path, chances it won’t be long before you are cashing in all your chips. Conversely, if you happen to be playing some online poker, and somebody named “Black Mamba” slithers up to your table, your chips are in just as much danger, albeit, without the concerns about the afterlife that the African encounter would bring. In the case of the online poker incident the “Black Mamba” you will be in danger from is Sandra "The Black Mamba" Naujoks.

Sandra Naujoks took an unusual route on the way to becoming one of the world’s deadliest poker pros. She was a teacher long before she ever considered a future in Texas Hold'em. After she decided that teaching wasn’t for her, she went on to become a successful graphic designer. She also put her ice blue eyes and flawless features to good use as a model. For awhile she dabbles in online poker rooms before she tested her abilities in poker tournaments. It was clear that this would be bad news for a lot of other poker pros.

Sandra’s skills at Texas Hold'em rated her a 5th place finish in her first high profile tournament. In her first five poker tournaments she won two of them, and finished no worse than 10th. This would be impressive even if the tournaments she was winning were local events, but she was playing in high profile, high prestige tourneys. Her 5th time out she became the 2nd woman to win an EPT event. Her victory at the EPT German Open cemented her place as one of the most dangerous poker players on the planet. Since then she has gone on to cash at a World Series of Poker event, and came in 10th at a WSOP Europe event. This 27 year old poker phenom will be making peoples lives miserable in both live poker events and in online poker rooms
