2007 WPT North American Poker Championship

One of the biggest Canadian poker tournaments of the year, the World Poker Tour North American Poker Championship always draws poker pros from around the globe, but especially Canada. There are a number of big time Canadian pros, such as Tuan Lam, Daniel Negreanu, Gavin Smith, Brad "Yukon" Booth and Evelyn Ng. At the final table this year, none of them made it - but there was a Robin Hood trying for a win.

Barry "Robin Hood of Poker" Greenstein, known for donating his considerable poker tournament winnings to charity, was the biggest name at a table that had a great line up. Two 19 year olds and a 23 year old were trying to make their name, and other players had a bit of experience on them, including two former WPT winners.

Kofi Farkye, Jonathan Little, "Action" Jeff Garza, David Cloutier and Scott Clements joined Greenstein at the table, all of them vying for a $1,361,724 top prize (in Canadian dollars) as well as a seat into WPT Championship valued at $25,500.

This $10,500 buy in event drew 504 players, building a total prize pool of $5,133,335. After nearly 250 hands of final table play it got down to Little and Clements in heads up action. On hand 271 Clements slow played trip fives to get Little all in with a pair of fours.
