Spring is a great time of year. The first robin of the season is being hungrily eyed by the felines who have had to spend the winter trying to survive on half starved mice and “Little Friskies.” The Swallows return en masse to the old Mission at San Juan Capistrano; an event that makes everyone happy except for, quite possibly, the Missions for janitor. There is also that whole “young man’s fancy turns to thoughts of love” thing that happens at this point in the calendar year. Seeing as arrives hot on the heels of Valentines, and usually just before Easter, this is the time of year that a women’s fancy apparently turns to thoughts of chocolate. Once again the sexes are not on the same page. It is nice to know that some things never change. Between all the cleaning of bird stuff from ancient churches, and the genders continuing to be out of sync, it is nice to know we can also celebrate the season with a big online poker tournament.
