PokerStars Sunday Million - The Return of Lee Jones

PokerStars Sunday Million - The Return of Lee Jones

When Lee Jones announced that he was leaving the role of poker room manager for PokerStars it was not without regret, but his new role would keep him within the organization, just performing other duties. For a second week in a row, however, Mr. Jones showed up at the PokerStars Sunday Million to manage the final table. With over six thousand players there was no overlay - 6,731 entrants, although short from last weeks 7,109, still meant for a prize pool of $1,346,200 and a first-place prize of around $194,000.

At the final table the chip leader SvZff held a huge lead with $20.4 million in tourney money, dwarfing chaimr, his closest threat at $13 million. Cashcondos last place stack with $2.7 million was felted less than five minutes into the action when his all in pre flop move was called by the pocket fives of Anywhat, crushing the pocket threes of the short stack, and just like that cashcondo was out in ninth. Shortly after Bad Rodin was out with a similar move, except his JJ push was beating chaimrs call with Ace Six, but an Ace on the river did it for Bad Rodin.

In the end, the top three players, SvZff, WiCane and Anywhat agreed to a chop with $30k to be picked up by the final winner. WiCane was the leader when Anywhat felted, and thought he had the stuff when he called SvZffs all in move with Big Slick. SvZff, however, had top pair and top kicker, and won the match.
