Everest Pokers Dream Begins

Everest Pokers Dream Begins

For years mankind had a dream to climb mount Everest, a dream that was finally realized in 1953 when Sir Edmund Hillary made it to the top. Since then some 4,000 people have lived the dream, and online poker room Everest Poker has a dream of its own they want you to share in.  The room is looking for ten players to "Live the Dream" of being a professional poker player, and they are willing to pay them to do it. Like climing the mountain, however, it won't be an easy task. Not only do you have to win your way to the finals, proving your ability in poker, but you have then to audition, proving you are worthy to represent the online poker room for one full year.  The first round of the weekly Live the Dream promotion has already taken place, and more than 600 players tried their best. Ten moved on, five from France and one each from Denmark, Spain, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands. These ten players (who also won a share in a $63,200 prize pool) have qualified to play in the March event that leads to the "casting call."  So what do the dream winners actually win? They do get to represent the room for a year via buy ins to the following events:  European Poker Tour Season 4 Grand Final seat ($13,000 buy-in)  World Series of Poker Main Event ($10,000 buy-in)  Two World Series of Poker side events (two $2,500 buy-ins)  Two World Poker Tour Season 7 events (two $15,000 buy-ins)  Two European Poker Tour Season 5 events (two $10,500 buy-ins)  Players also get $21,000 in cash to pay for expenses.  The players who qualified in the first round are: Nettou, GunSlinger, fabymac, morpheo, tofmoute76, etirow, Beseker, pokerlee00, bebar and achil07.
