The Women's Ultimate Poker Challenge

The Women's Ultimate Poker Challenge

When the World Poker Tour tallies up its viewing records to see which events are the most popular of their already hugely popular televised poker tournament series, invariably the women-only Ladies Night comes out very near the top. While the ladies event at the World Series of Poker is often overshadowed by the forty some other events, not to mention the Main Event, it, too, is a very popular event.  When the Ultimate Poker Challenge decided to add their very own women-only event, then, it seemed to be just a matter of common sense and good marketing. Women's Ultimate Poker Challenge, which will tke place on February 9th and have a televised final table on the 10th.  The event, run in conjunction with Woman Poker Player Magazine, should appeal to both women and men players who appreciate the Ultimate Poker Challenge, which is now running in its third season. Scott Fischman, Marsha Waggoner, and Richard Brodie are examples of the caliber of pro poker players hitting the final tables of the UPC, drawing in the viewers and the fans.  The Women's Ultimate Poker Challenge, like all Ultimate Poker Challenge events, takes place at Binion's Horseshoe, the birthplace of the World Series of Poker. A $200+35 buy in makes the event approachable for all women players interested in taking a shot at the big time, and a televised final table. February 8th thrifty players will be at Binion's playing single table satellites to win their way in.
