Running January 5 through January 10, 2007, the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure will be one of the biggest draws in the poker world to kick off the new year in Paradise. In 2006 an unknown in the poker world, Canadian student Steve Paul-Ambrose won the event under the camera's of the World Poker Tour, claming a $1.3 million prize. The event, which allows poker players to enjoy the other-worldly ambiance of the Atlantis resort on Paradise Island, Bahamas, will be five days of sun and fun, not to mention poker, as online qualifiers and old-fashioned buy ins compete to become the next WPT champ, and king of the Caribbean. Poker Stars is, naturally, going to be offering qualifiers online, with packages that include multi-day stays at the resort. Even players that don't cash can count on a vacation in Paradise - literally - if they win their seats on Poker Stars. Those who have never been to the Atlantis resort and have trouble believing it to be as incredible as advertised should check out the official website at atlantis.com. Picking up more information on the event itself is easy, as the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure has its own website, too CaribbeanPokerAdventure.com
