  • Overall:

Everest Poker is a very young site, but has gotten off the launching pad extremely well. They offer a fast and reliable experience with solid software. The loose play is present at every tournament buy-in level and every strata from low limit to no limit games. This is an international site and welcomes players from just about anywhere that isn't the United States. A number of language options are available, but thanks to American law, players in the U.S.A. cannot play for money on this site.

    Software and Design:

If you are looking for an "Industrial Light and Magic" sort of visual experience from Everest Poker, you would be wise to look elsewhere. The graphics are attractive, but not dazzling. Instead of all the visual bells and whistles, Everest has concentrated on making their software and interface fast, reliable, and almost intuitive for even a computer novice.

For those who are just starting out, Everest has built a training room into the design. This lets the fish grow a little before swimming out to open water with the predators.

    Games:

Texas Holdem and Omaha are featured here. Users can play these games at a number of limit options (limit, no limit, pot limit). Tournaments are also a popular feature. Look for Seven-Card Stud in the near future.

    Tournaments:

Everest offers a wide variety of tournaments that range in buy in from as little as $1 all the way up to the "if you have to ask, you can't afford it" range. Regardless of what level of tourney you are playing in, a loose-aggressive style of play dominates the field. Luckily the quality of the play is relatively low, and someone who knows what they are doing can do fairly well.

    Competition:

Viewed flop percentage is between 50%-60%, with loose play being the apparent rule of the day. Oddly enough, this trait is present everywhere from the lower levels all the way up to the highest buy ins. At most sites this sort of play only occupies the lower buy in levels.

    Deposits and Cashout:

Deposit: Visa, MasterCard, Click2Pay, NETeller, MoneyBookers, paysafecard, ECO Card (French, Spanish, German, and Greek), 1PAY, and bank draft.
Cashout: Bank transfer, Moneybookers, NETeller, and Click2Pay.

    Bonuses and Promotions:

A generous $100 bonus is available to folks when they first sign up. The bonus is transferred to the player's balance in increments of 7¢ per one Summit Point. Points are redeemed automatically after each session of real-money play. There is no time limit for the bonus and money keeps being applied until the player receives all $100. A referral bonus is also offered by Everest Poker. Players get $50 per friend who signs up. The payout of this bonus is handled in the same manner as the sign up bonus.

Everest Poker offer players weekly opportunities to win cash in their freeroll tournaments as well as a number of satellite tournaments that could be somebody's ticket to the biggest tournaments in the sport.

One of their more high profile promotions gives players the opportunity to win their way to WSOP, WPT, and EPT events. Lucky winners will get hotel, travel, buy in, and other perks. This is a promotion that could be worth $100,000 to the winner.
