Adding new elements to home poker games makes for a lot of fun, and bounties are a great way to do that. But if you are not inclined to put up more money for bounties and collecting a bounty chip without the cash leaves you cold, consider running a season long bounty game called the Ultimate Bounty Hunter.
Any season home game is fun. It allows you to show that you can play good poker despite a bad run, and showcases those who are most improved during a season. Handing out points based on finishes is a good way to do this, but adding bounties that count all season long is great, too.
It allows you to run a second season game alongside the leader board style season game. Each player gets a bounty in any game they knock out another player, and the bounties are kept separate from the season points. At the end of the season the player with the most bounties is the Ultimate Bounty Hunter.
To spice it up keep an Ultimate Bounty Hunter list posted at the host's house. You can put pictures of famous bounty hunters on the board, and move players' names up and down the list as they progress during the season.
