Stupid people at a poker table can be a lot of hassle. They bet out of turn, try to go all in with their whole stack during table limit games, and think that good play involves tantrums. It would be funny if these players didn't have such potential to screw up the game of somebody who knows what they are doing.
First of all, dumb players don't know they are dumb. They learned to play by watching television and think that the edited snippets they see are representative to how the game is really played.Because they don't know how to play, they generally don't know when to fold and will cheerfully bet with a bad hand all the way to the river. On the plus side this means you will get bigger pots from one of these guys, on the minus side, the "bad-beat" potential is high and you will lose hands to them by sheer luck.
This can be vexing in ring games, but downright deadly in tournament play. The dumb guy may get all your chips on an all in call and because he caught a lucky card at the river, be waving goodbye to you as you are booted from the tourney.
Never shy away from taking the money of this sort of person, but be very wary of the type of danger their ignorance can put you in.
