There are those people who are (supposedly) blessed with the ability to see into the future. That Nostradamus fellow is the most famous of these prophets or psychics or whatever, but history is filled with those who would claim they had the ability to see through the veil of time. When you play poker, you often find yourself wishing you had such a power. The ability to see into the future would practically guarantee your success in any game at any table. Sadly, you're probably not psychic and there is no Geriatric Spice or super breeding program in place to ever give you such abilities. Your best bet is to probably just try your luck with a nasty bump on the head, but that has a better chance resulting in a coma than a magic ability to see the future.
In poker, you can't see the future, but you can make predictions during the course of a hand as to what cards have what chances of being pulled. You can also predict a player's actions later on during the game based on his or her actions in the earlier stages of the game.
Beware though, these are just predictions, not prophecies. You can be no surer of any future outcome in poker than a weatherman can be in predicting the next week's weather. Well, you might be surer than that, but the important point is that you're never one hundred percent sure.
Remember your predictions are just predictions, and you cannot, no matter how skilled you are, see what will happen.
