Amaze Them

Amaze Them

An important part of poker is the other players' perception of you. If they believe that you are a weak or poor player, they will jump on you and try to take advantage of you. If they believe you are a more experienced or skilled player, they will yield to you, allowing you to take advantage of them. Creating a positive, powerful perception amongst the other players is an important step towards dominating the table.  One way to do this is to amaze them. Blow their minds. There's a number of ways you can do this, but they all boil down to you making a huge impression with a really great play.  People remember the moments that make them step back and go, "whoa!" They remember when something really exciting or unexpected takes place right before them. They remember who was involved, and act according to how they remember it.  One way you can amaze those around you is to show them your hand. Not in the middle of the hand, but if you've won with a real killer bluff, instead of mucking your cards, lay them out. Show the table what you just did. Some will grimace, some will chuckle, some will get a little sore (especially the guy you just beat), but they all will look at you with a greater sense of awe than they did before.  There are many other ways you can blow your opponents' minds. All you need to do is just amaze them.
