When Shannon Elizabeth burst on the scene in the late nineties, it was the gifts that DNA had bestowed upon her that got the most attention. During a scene in American Pie that could have cured Bob Dole of his need for Viagra, Elizabeth became an instant sensation. Of course people whose fame is based on how they look naked rarely have long careers, and without some serious talent she would have been relegated to the same scrap heap that most of the Baywatch cast now calls home. Shannon has now survived over a decade in Hollywood. During her career she has displayed the ability to handle emotionally draining dramatic roles and showed some rather impressive abilities from a comedic standpoint. She has also shown a bend toward the eclectic in her choice of roles. She has been everything from sex kitten in "American Pie", to a silly jewel thief in "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back". She even provides the voice in the latest installment of the Leisure Suit Larry gaming franchise. In short, Shannon Elizabeth is a talented lady, but can she dance? We all know that she can pull off a bluff, and can slowplay with the best players on the planet, but how will Shannon do when she turns in her poker face in favor of some dancing shoes? For those who spend most of their time under a rock, the show Dancing with the Stars is one of the most popular programs on television today. Shannon has been slated to be one of the contestants on the sixth season of the monster hit. Usually these types of shows involve washed up celebrities who are desperately trying to keep their careers on life support. While this is true of some of the DWTS personalities, there are still a number of mainstream, popular personalities who show up on this program to demonstrate their dancing chops. Only time will tell how long Ms. Elizabeth will last in this competition, but a lot of folks would probably guess she will go far.
But Can She Dance?
