Annie's Back

Annie's Back

We doubt Annie Duke is a frequent visitor to Monster.com or similar sites. There are probably a couple of reasons for this. First of all, there are very few positions where taking other people's money and lying to their faces are part of the actual job description. Most of those went away with Enron. The very few that are left are currently being fought over by Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Very few rational people want to get in the middle of that train wreck. Despite the fact that Annie's resume doesn't qualify her for any employment outside of organized crime and politics, she has just landed a new job with one poker site.  UltimateBet.com has tapped in to Ms. Duke's vast knowledge of tournament poker and how it applies to the online world and named her as their new Poker Room Consultant.  As far as UltimateBet goes, this is a re-hire for them. Annie was there at the beginning, giving her input when UltimateBet was first created. Annie she has been conspicuously absent until just recently. Now that there has been a bit of a management shakeup, Annie is back. Here is what she had to say about her new position: "I opted to accept the Poker Room Consultant position after spending time with UltimateBet's new senior management team," notes Duke. "I am extraordinarily pleased with their commitment to wanting what's best for the poker player and I have a renewed sense of enthusiasm in the future of UltimateBet."  The new schedule that Annie has put together will be launched on April 28.
