Poker players can be a serious lot. So if you're one of those studious types who has watched every instructional poker DVD and read all of the books, maybe it's time to lighten up a bit with something a bit less serious - but equally entertaining.
Poker players can also often be of the flashy, show-off variety. If this bill fits you - you may want to watch the latest in a series from Rich Ferguson, "The Official Poker, Volume 4: Flourishes" to learn some simple yet fancy flourishes to impress your friends as you handle a deck of cards. Consider what you might learn from this DVD to be a way of "dressing up" the way that you handle cards. If you are the type of poker player who considers every aspect of your image - this DVD would be right up your alley.
"The Official Poker, Volume 4: Flourishes" provides detailed instructions and excellent close-up camera shots to teach you everything you need to know to start doing some fancy card moves. You'll learn how to perform springs, waterfalls, dribbling, fans, and more. The audio and visual production quality is superior on this 2006 DVD release.
The only source of frustration that some aspiring flourish artists may endure is with the section covering the Giant fan. Here, Ferguson continues to demonstrate, but leaves enough of the basic set-up out to confuse someone hoping to master the technique. More of the missing key components explaining the set-up are only available on a previous Ferguson DVD called "The Poker Card and Chip Handling DVD Series, Volume 1: Chip Tricks".
Ferguson suggests that his latest DVD might help you intimidate your opponents, impress friends, and help you look more professional. If you want to take a shot at this, the DVD will cost around $18 and is available for purchase online.
