When visitors roll up to 3800 South Virginia Street it would be very difficult to mistake this complex for an office building or a Walmart. The first thing that draws one's eye when looking at this ultramodern resort is the massive Greek columns that dominate the landscaping. At night when the building is bathed in neon, the light that reflects off these structures as well as the glass of the contemporarily designed hotel, the entire resort looks stunning.
When patrons tired of standing outside and ogling this architectural wonder, they can make their way indoors where they learn that the experience inside is no less impressive.
This 1000 room hotel features such amenities as an indoor and outdoor pools, a health spa, business center, family fun center, and a sun deck. The Atlantis also offers something that no other hotel in the city of Reno has for its guests: a concierge hotel tower.
The concierge rooms take up the top seven floors of the tower. These rooms are a full 20% larger than other rooms. With this increase in size comes an increase in perks. A concierge room includes such amenities as terry-cloth robes, oversized bathtubs, personalized butler service, VIP check-in, express elevators, and more. The idea that a visitor needs to pay through the nose for this sort of high roller experience is as mythical as the original Atlantis. In truth, concierge rooms range from $99 to $225 for certain weekend.
The Atlantis makes believes that no customer should walk away hungry. To this end they provide eight restaurants for the client's pleasure. These eateries cover the gamut of dining experiences. From the 24 hour coffee house called The Purple Parrot to such elegant dining establishments like the Monte Vigna Italian Ristorante and the Atlantis Seafood Steakhouse. In between these extremes in dining visitors will find a number of casual dining establishments.
Entertainment is easy to find at this resort. The Center Stage Cabaret features rock as well as R&B music for the amusement of the guest. The Atlantis Grand Ballroom features national comedic and musical acts while the Atlantis Nightclub allows folks to dance until the wee hours of the morning. For those with children, there is also a fun center that will keep the kids occupied for hours on end.
For those who visited the Atlantis for the purpose of gambling, they will find a spacious, 32000 square foot casino. This beautiful facility provides over 1400 slot and video poker machines.
