Sarah is the daughter of a former MP for the Australian Labor Party. With politics running strong in her bloodline she a natural at a game that involves bluffing. Sarah was always good at cards but was used to playing wholly Australian games like 500. Poker wasn’t a part of her life until her fiancé introduced her to it a number of years ago. It wasn’t long before she was hooked. Today she is a fixture in Vegas. She plays often and is becoming a regular at tournaments. That is, she is a regular at tournaments in between exams. Currently poker is hobby; she is a serious student working on her masters thesis in international relations at the London School of Economics. In July of 2005 Sarah placed in her first WSOP event. She took 68th place out of 758 entries. She beat out almost 700 other players and took a piece of the $697,360 prize pool. Sarah has a bright future whether it is in poker or politics. The poker face that is her genetic gift will serve her well in both arenas. Look for her in Las Vegas at upcoming WSOP events.Article of the Day Archive
