A grainy, homemade demo tape, her glam-happy Vegas attire, and a little poking fun at previous hosts Courtney Friel and Shana Hiatt did the trick for WPT judges. Sabina Gadecki, a talented and gorgeous 23-year-old from New York City beat out a field of hundreds of hopefuls to become the latest sizzling hot hostess for the Travel Channel’s fifth season of the World Poker Tour.
And while no one is complaining about having to look at the Tour’s newest hostess - overwhelming acceptance after an audition wasn’t always the case for her. Producers for the movie “Mean Girls” suggested that her look was too sweet and innocent to land a part in the film. Now Gadecki’s fresh-faced, comical approach, coupled with her brainy yet glamorous blonde look and sexy petite body have WPT fans raving. Sabina’s physical attributes are a result of years of practicing and performing formal dance. She is a member of a dance troupe known as TADAH which performs tap, acting, dance, and hip-hop under legendary choreographer Jared Grimes’ command. Shining in the spotlight is certainly not a new endeavor for Gadecki who appeared on Bicycle Casino's 2006 Legends of Poker and in the 2003 short film called “Pillow Fighters Go!” Sabina grew up in Chicopee, Massachusetts, and has experience as a model, beauty pageant winner, and television commercial actor. Sabina’s previous theater and communications studies at Holyoke Community College launched her interest in pursuing a career in entertainment. She is pursuing an undergraduate degree in international business at New York’s Fordham University and is taking acting classes despite the demanding tour schedule of the WPT.
