Toto "The Ripper" Leonidas: Reserved and Quiet

Born October 10, 1960 in Bacolod City, Philippines, Alfredo "Toto" Leonidas is now a resident of Glendale, California with a globetrotting poker schedule to keep him busy and a huge bank account that proves his prowess at the table. Despite earning nearly $2 million dollars playing poker - Leonidas remains a reserved and quiet man when he is playing. Leonidas is known for his aggressive yet soft-spoken style, often remaining absolutely silent for extended periods of play.

2003 was a big year for Leonidas. His first World Series of Poker bracelet, the highlight of his career, was won after a six hour reign of utter silence during the 2003 WSOP $1,500 Seven-Card Stud event. In 2003, he competed against such poker greats as Phil Hellmuth and Erik Seidel to win the United States Poker Championship.

2003 also found Leonidas winning $388,000 in a $9,800 No Limit Holdem event in Atlantic City. He earned third place for $60,000 during the Professional Poker Tour No Limit Holdem event at Bay 101 Shooting Stars of Poker the same year.

By 2005 Leonidas was still raking in the cash - taking second place in both the World Series of Poker's $2,000 Limit Holdem event and the $5,000 No Limit Holdem Shootout during the 2005 Full Tilt Poker Global Poker Challenge worth $100,000.

A force to be reckoned with - Leonidas has cashed out over 70 times since the year 2000 at major poker events and has earned 18 money finishes to his credit. His phenomenal success is proof that one does not have to follow the style of boastful swagger to win. Leonidas may be silent - but he's proven he can be deadly.
