Scott Fischman

  Born in 1981, Scott Fischman is one of new breed of young players who slowly taking over the sport of poker. This prodigy was born in South Jersey, but moved to Las Vegas at the age of 12. Considering his formative years were spent in the shadow of Atlantic City, and that he came of age in the gambling Mehecca of Vegas, it was almost inevitable that Scott would become a professional gambler.

  Scott was playing in his first tournament almost before he was old enough to order a drink from the waitress. In that first early tournament, the rookie schooled some of the salty veterans, and finished in a respectable seventh place. Though his win was admirable, he barely won enough to cover bus fare to Disney in California. Regardless of the small reward though, he was hooked.  Scott worked hard on his game. In fact, between June of 2003 and April of 2005 Fischman had never finished lower thant 25th in any of the tournaments he entered. In that span of time, most of his victories were top 10 finishes. There was also shining, history making moment in May of 2004. It was on May 1st that he became the youngest player ever to win a World Series of Poker bracelet by being crowned champion at the 35th Annual World Series of Poker No-Limit Hold'em Championship. Before the contingent of braceletless, old guard of journeyman players could wipe the envy off their faces, Scott Fischman became the youngest player to win two WSOP bracelets. On May 4th he followed up his first championship with the 35th Annual World Series of Poker H.O.R.S.E. Championship.  These victories were a shot across the bow of the established community of professional poker players. Scott Fischman is the next generation of Binions and Brunsons. The future is looking bright indeed.
