Amnon "Guts" Filippi: Working His Way to Bigger and Better Things in Life

  New York City's Amnon "Guts" Filippi has pulled in over $1,619,979 doing what he loves best - namely playing poker, mostly in live tournaments and high stakes cash games. Born June 29th, 1969 in the Big Apple, this "Guts" man of poker is working his way towards bigger and better things on the poker horizon and has his sights set on a WSOP bracelet and more big cash finishes. 2007 has been a good year for Filippi.

  Filippi's 2007 WSOP showing has earned him his biggest cash win yet. After taking fourth place in the world championship H.O.R.S.E tournament he made $596,080. Other 2007 WSOP results for this player include winning over $6,000 during the $1,500 No Limit Holdem Shootout. May was a profitable month for him when he earned $100,865 for his sixth place finish at the $9,700 No Limit Holdem Championship during the Mirage Poker Showdown. March 2007 was also a good month - with Filippi's fourth place win at the Foxwoods Poker Classic where he earned over $37,000.  In 2005 he won a first place finish in the $10,000 No Limit Texas Holdem event at the Bellagio Challenge Cup. At the World Poker Tour's Borgata Winter Open in Atlantic City during the first two months of 2006, he earned over $184,000 for his fourth place finish.  Amnon "Guts" Filippi has been making a living playing poker since 2003. He enjoys high stakes cash games and was a regular on season two of GSN's show High Stakes Poker.
