Seth Meyers

We're not sure where Jack Judge was standing when he composed the song "It's a Long Way to Tipperary" but I'm guessing he would have a new appreciation for distance if he followed the career of Seth Meyers. Perhaps the road to the Irish county mentioned in the song would have only seemed like a short day trip compared to the long haul that Seth Meyers has made in the name of his love of comedy and acting.

Seth grew up in Bedford, New Hampshire and attended West High School in Manchester, New Hampshire. Once he had completed his primary education his wandering ways began. He moved to the Midwest to be a student of at Northwest University in the state of Illinois. It was here where he honed his talents for Improv and comedy to a razors edge as part of the school's sketch comedy group Mee-Ow.

When his time at the Big Ten school was done, he made the unlikely move to the city of Amsterdam. In this metropolis where the relaxed social evironment encourages the sort of activity that makes Las Vegas look like an Amish settlement, Seth worked his comedy stylings as a cast member of the comedy group Boom Chicago.

In 2001 he made his way back home and on to the stage at Saturday Night Live. He was quickly recognized for his talents, and promoted to writing supervisor. Today he shares head writing duties with castmate Tina Fey.

When he not making the viewing public laugh, he is making poker playes cry. Seth Meyers appeared on the 5th game of the 3rd tournament of Celebrity Poker Showdown in 2004. He easily won his game to move on to the finals where he came in an impressive second. Seth lost to guitarist Dave Navarro in this championship game.
