The 2009 World Series of Poker is special in a number of ways. It is the 40th anniversary of the series, it hosted two new events including a $40k anniversary special, and recently it hosted its largest ever field of over 50 poker players in the annual WSOP Senior Event. With 2,707 players signing up to play in the $1k event, the winner was one of the younger players, 58 year old Michael T. Davis, one of the only pros in the field. His win of $437,358 is a record breaker for any senior event.
