One of the most recognized names in poker is the World Poker Tour, and the parent company, the World Poker Tour Enterprises, Inc, decided to capitalize on this by opening an online poker room. Unfortunately for the WPTE the economy and other factors prevented it from becoming a viable success, and the online WPT room has shut its doors. This left the decision of what to do with the poker players already signed up to play, and a recent announcement has made it clear that those players will be passed on to InterPoker.
