The Borgata Poker Classic is no longer part of the World Poker Tour schedule, having been dropped from this roster for the seventh season of the WPT. The event itself, sometimes called the Borgata Winter Open, will go forward as planned, it is just no longer a sanctioned WPT event. This means that the winner of the Borgata Poker Classic will not get a seat in the WPT season final (worth $25k) nor will the event be filmed for later broadcast as part of the World Poker Tour broadcast schedule. The Borgata Winter Open will run in January at the Atlantic City, New Jersey casino as planned.
