The very first WPT Cyprus event is done and has its champion. The first annual World Poker Tour Merit Cyprus Classic ended at the Merit Crystal Cove Hotel and Casino in Cyprus with 32 years old French pro Thomas Bichon claiming the top prize. He won the cash prize and a bracelet to go along with the title, and the honor of being the first player to ever win a WPT title in Greece. His $579,165 pay out dwarfed the second place payout of $380,645, which went to Uri Keidar, and matched that plus third place pay of $216,275 to Steven Fung.
