Violette joins Women in Poker Hall of Fame

Heading the inductees to the Women in Poker Hall of Fame for 2009 is pro Cyndy Violette, joining Jan Fisher and June Field. Following the June induction ceremony these three women will be added to the list of influential women in poker. Of the three Field’s name is likely less well known, but she may have had the biggest impact. While the other two are big winners in the world of poker, Field founded Card Player magazine in 1988. Violette, of the three, is the most recognizable thanks to some high profile wins.
