The Universal Poker Network (UPN) and Everleaf Gaming Network have merged to form a larger network. The idea behind the merger is to bring more players in for both parties. The new network has not been named despite having formed on January 19th, possibly because the mergers are not yet complete. On February 1st a third party will join the merger -- Victory Poker. Comparisons to the Betfair poker network have been made in terms of the kinds of traffic the new network is expected to attract. The only hitch so far in the merger was a failure to send notification of the merger to current customers, who reportedly were a little confused.
