The most popular poker game in the world is Texas Holdem, so one would think that they game is legal in the US State that gave it it’s name, but that is not the case. Should Texas state legislator Jose Menendez get his way, however, that might change. In his second attempt at floating legislation to legalize the game of poker, Menedez has offered up House Bill 222, also known as The Poker Gaming Act of 2009. Should the bill become law poker would be legal in the state of Texas.
