Switzerland Poker Laws

Poker law in Switzerland remain the same. Recent attempts to change Switzerland law to allow poker tournaments outside of casinos have failed. While Councilors wanted to allow poker tournaments outside casinos the Federal Council did not agree. Since the plan was rejected by the Federal Council only in casinos will Swiss poker tourneys take place. Gaming Analyst Steve Schwartz said that the laws in Switzerland are “for the most part in line” with a lot of the other countries in Europe when it comes to the game of poker.
