In the southern U.S. state of South Carolina the Attorney General is planning to appeal a ruling that poker is a skill game. The ruling came in October of last year and applies specifically to Texas Hold’em Poker, the world’s most popular poker game. The debate of skill versus luck is an old and hard fought concern, especially in areas of the world were the fight is over the legality of the game. South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster filed an appeal that states he does not think the skill versus luck debate and ruling are relevant to the state’s efforts to ban gambling.
