A man was arrested and charged with promoting gambling at a Texas Hold 'em poker tournament. The event took place last week but the announcement of the arrest was made just recently. Shane J. LaBounty Sr., 42, was arrested after a raid by town and State Police took place and when officers seized $4,286 in cash. They also took gambling equipment. Fifty people were at the game and were interviewed by police afterwards. The raid took place when Detectives received an anonymous tip in April about poker games taking place multiple ties per week.
