Poker Tour Starts in Galway

The UK and Ireland Poker Tour started Friday in Galway, Ireland. The UKIPT is sponsored by online poker room PokerStars. The first event drew 259 players to play in the €2,000 Main Event. The event will run for four days through December 14th, with players from 22 countries. There were a huge contingent of online qualifiers at 104. Pros like John Duthie, J.P. Kelly, and Jude Ainsworth, all sponsored by online poker room PokerStars, were in attendance.
