A new Riverboat casino will official open on Monday, June 29th, as the $336 million Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg invites the public to play. Lawrenceburg Mayor William Cunningham and others will be on hand to cut the ribbon to official open the casino boat, which is twice as big as the Argosy Casino, which formally occupied the space. The Hollywood Casino owners are anticipating as much as $35 million in tax revenue for the city and state. Riverboats were some of the first casino in the United States.
