Poker Pro Sued over Movie

Deal

Poker pro Scott Lazar, a former final table player at the World Series of Poker, is being sued for one million dollars in damages by Gambling Times, Inc, the company behind the poker movie “Deal.” Deal started Burt Reynolds, but despite the star power only pulled in $78k in worldwide showings. The company claims that Lazar, who was the movie’s executive producer, was paid $50,000 to get the movie a highly visible product placement, but that never happened. Shannon Elizabeth, an actor turned poker pro, also started in Deal.
