Semi poker pro and former pro golfer Dusty “Leatherass” Schmidt recently played poker for charity in Portland, Oregon. The player, who is best known for his lawsuit against the United States Golf Association (USGA), donated the winnings from the game. He played for 30 hours of online poker and then donated the $21k to a charity known as Transition Projects. Schmidt, who last his amateur status as a golfer when he issued a one million dollar challenge to anyone who could beat him in a combination poker and golf competition, once sued the USGA to regain his amateur status, but has since dropped the lawsuit.
