The Toronto Rock,

The Toronto Rock, a National Lacrosse League team, has just been purchased by Oakville native Jamie Dawick, a professional poker player. Dawick, who owns a sports bar, has been working on this deal for months, and stated in a statement released by the team that his goal is to “restore the winning tradition of the Rock.” More news came out of the Rock at the same time; Terry Sanderson, the former GM and coach, was returning to the team. Dawick, who has played in last year’s World Series of Poker, is also involved in home building.
