Poker Event won by Clonie Gowen

The World Poker Tour event that took place in Tunica, Mississippi was recently won by long time poker pro Clonie Gowen. Gowen, who’s given name is “Cyclona”, defeated the 106 players in order to take down the Strike Casino’s World Poker Open Championship. A gold and diamond WPO bracelet was the prize, along with the free seat into next year’s 2009 World Poker Tour Southern Poker Championship in January, itself worth $10k. Naturally she won the first place cash prize as well, $183,224. With this victory Gowen’s career live tournament earnings have moved above the one million dollar mark.
